Learn hands on how to make goi cuon, more known as salad rolls or summer rolls. We show you the basic from how to cook the noodles and how to make them. This is a 45 minute class. The class is per person. Please book enough spots for you and your party.

Goi Cuon, often referred to as Vietnamese Salad Rolls or Fresh Spring Rolls, is a delightful dish that encapsulates the vibrant flavors of Vietnamese cuisine. Originating from Vietnam, these rolls are not only a culinary delight but also a healthy and refreshing option.

Goi Cuon is a medley of fresh ingredients artfully wrapped in translucent rice paper, creating a visual feast of colors and textures. The star of the show is the filling, typically composed of vermicelli rice noodles, crisp lettuce, aromatic herbs like cilantro and mint, and a combination of protein such as shrimp, shredded chicken, or tofu. The rolls often feature a delicate balance of sweet and savory flavors, with a hint of umami, enhanced by the addition of dipping sauces like hoisin or peanut sauce.

The magic happens as these ingredients are carefully encased in the rice paper, resulting in a light and portable roll that offers a satisfying crunch from the vegetables and a burst of freshness in every bite. The dipping sauces complement the rolls perfectly, adding an extra layer of flavor to the overall experience.

Brief History:

Goi Cuon has its roots in Vietnamese culinary traditions, evolving from traditional rice paper-wrapped dishes that date back centuries. The dish gained popularity during the 20th century and has since become a staple both in Vietnam and international Vietnamese communities.

These rolls are not only cherished for their taste but also for their cultural significance. They represent the emphasis on fresh, wholesome ingredients in Vietnamese cuisine and the art of balancing flavors and textures. Goi Cuon has transcended its cultural origins and is now enjoyed globally, appreciated for its lightness and the delightful interplay of ingredients.

Whether served as an appetizer, a light meal, or a healthy snack, Goi Cuon continues to win hearts with its harmonious combination of fresh components, making it a beloved dish that reflects the essence of Vietnamese culinary craftsmanship.
